The Geosense Academy is the Geosense mission to share our knowledge and experience with our sensors and systems that should deliver accurate data to answer the geotechnical questions being asked. We offer tailored training depending on experience and role designed to boost skills for a wide range of stakeholders, from Consultants to Technicians, experienced Engineers and new Engineers looking to build a solid foundation for a successful career.

TAILORED TRAINING

The Geosense Academy was set up in 2017 to address the skills shortage within the construction industry and has delivered training to thousands of attendees who have delivered on geotechnical projects across the world. For Specifiers and Consultants, we offer specific development training on fundamentals such as ‘asking the right questions to get the data to optimise your model’. For Installers, we offer product-specific installation for new and existing models, as well as a module on data usage.

A2 Advanced Monitoring were lucky enough to be invited to attend their second Geosense Academy Day with the team and the fantastically knowledgeable and experienced Chris Spalton who provided a very practical and clear demonstration of how vibrating wire instruments work.

The key takeaways from the Academy Day was to gain a deeper appreciation of a huge range of instruments that have been developed and hear about some high profile, major civil engineering projects where the instruments had been used to monitor the performance of structures and compare their in-situ behaviour with the predicted performance.
