Asset Monitoring

In urban environments the effects of construction such as deep excavations and tunnels often have to be conducted immediately below or adjacent to existing structures and utilities such as buildings, third party walls, metros, sewers and communication tunnels.

Excavation in soft ground induces ground movement which imposes a threat to nearby sensitive structures in the zone of influence.

Monitoring of these existing assets is crucial to allow their owners to assess their initial status, ensure their integrity and serviceability. In addition monitoring allows the construction company to assess any harmful effects of their works  and where necessary provide alarms to trigger preventative or corrective actions.
