Small Diameter Piezometer VWP-3900 series
The Small Diameter Piezometer VWP-3900 Series is designed for pore water pressure and water level monitoring where projects require a smaller diameter, such as automating exisiting standpipe piezometers.
Compact Design. Proven Performance.
The Geosense VWP-3900 Series is our smallest vibrating wire piezometer, delivering the proven performance of vibrating wire technology in a compact 17.5 mm diameter housing.
Built using our proprietary GeoSwage manufacturing process, it is specifically designed for installation in existing 19 mm standpipe piezometers. Its short 130 mm body allows it to navigate any historic movement or bending of the casing, making it ideal for retrofit and automation projects.
One of the shortest piezometers on the market, the VWP-3900 Series is suitable for:
- Pore water pressure monitoring in soils and rocks
- Small-diameter boreholes
- Standpipe piezometer retrofits
- Automating existing standpipe piezometers
- Hydrofracture and pump testing
Key Features
- Compact design for confined spaces – 17.5 mm diameter design fits standard 19 mm standpipe piezometers and restricted installation locations.
- Proven long-term reliability – Vibrating wire technology provides excellent stability, immunity to electrical interference, and reliable performance over long cable lengths.
- High-accuracy measurements – Temperature calibrated to maintain measurement accuracy across changing environmental conditions.
- Flexible pressure options – Available in a range of pressure ratings to suit different monitoring requirements and applications.
- Enhanced accuracy with vented option – Compensates for atmospheric pressure changes to provide more accurate pore pressure measurements.
- Seamless remote monitoring – Compatible with data acquisition systems for continuous, automated monitoring and real-time data collection.
