The Geosense VWM-2000 Weir Monitor is a precision vibrating wire water level monitoring instrument designed to deliver accurate, reliable measurements in weirs, tanks and open channels. It combines a vented vibrating wire force transducer with a suspended cylindrical weight to provide stable, long-term performance.

The suspended weight moves with changes in the water level, while its hollow design provides natural buoyancy for consistent, repeatable readings. The transducer and weight are housed within a slotted PVC tube that reduces the effects of water turbulence and can be mounted either inside or alongside the monitoring location.

The vented transducer automatically compensates for changes in atmospheric pressure, while a moisture trap protects the vent tube and requires only periodic desiccant replacement. Like all Geosense vibrating wire sensors, the frequency-based output is unaffected by cable resistance, enabling accurate measurements over extremely long cable lengths.
