New CNC lathe arrives
To ensure Geosense continues to meet ever increasing demands for its products, we have just taken delivery of a new CNC lathe.
This new addition to the in-house machine shop’s fleet is a Lynx 2100 LSYB twin-spindle CNC Lathe, a two-operation machine which enables components to come off complete. Geosense is also in the process of recruiting another member of staff to join the machining team.
“We felt it was the right time to invest as we are always looking to increase efficiency and quality of the components we machine. This in turn allows our production team to increase the rate at which they can assemble instruments whilst maintaining the quality we require,” said Production Manager John Fordham.
The new lathe will primarily be used for precision components used throughout the Geosense range of products. Head Machinist Jay Harper is pictured at the helm.
